The Discovery Sprint is the entry point to working with IPP. Two weeks is long enough to produce real artifacts and short enough that both sides learn quickly whether a longer engagement is the right next step.
What you walk away with: a documented Capability Spectrum℠ map of your value stream — every domain and service named, ordered periphery-to-core, with current tier assessments. An initial Objectives Backlog℠ in user voice anchored to those services. Recommendations on which objectives to advance to Pursuing first, with the rationale grounded in the framework.
What you bring: three to five cross-functional stakeholders for two structured working sessions, plus accessible knowledge of your product’s current state. The Discovery Sprint assumes you hold a Practitioner or Team License so the artifacts live in the platform from day one.
Many Discovery Sprints lead naturally to a Fractional PM engagement or an Org Design project. Both are options, not obligations — the Discovery Sprint is valuable as a standalone investment in clarity.
